Starting off...

When I first started the course we were introduced to Photoshop and InDesign and these were the main programmes which we would soon use to create front pages, contents pages and double pages spreads (DPS) for magazines. I had already had some experience when using Photoshop but I had never used InDesign before then. We were taught the basics and soon enough we were all used to it and could perform the more simple tasks. Before our first task we had to firstly try out Photoshop with some images that could be used for a front cover. With one image we found we had to cut out one of the people in it or it could have been an object, with that we then had to place onto another document. We had an old photo which had to be restored, in which we used to the cloning tools to take away any blotches that were in the image and this was called Photo Restoration.
